Just as we strive to provide a secure, nurturing, and home-like environment for the children and families at Bee Happy, we are deeply committed to providing the same for our team. We believe that a supported, stable, and happy team is the foundation of the exceptional care we deliver. This commitment is reflected in our low staff turnover
Just as we strive to provide a secure, nurturing, and home-like environment for the children and families at Bee Happy, we are deeply committed to providing the same for our team. We believe that a supported, stable, and happy team is the foundation of the exceptional care we deliver. This commitment is reflected in our low staff turnover and the familiar, trusted faces that children see every day.
We look for genuine care first. But that is followed by the most stringent recruitment checks. This includes verified Working With Children Checks, thorough reference checks that go beyond just confirming employment dates, and a mandatory six-month probationary period where new educators are closely observed in their interactions.
We have a very clear, strict Code of Conduct that explicitly forbids inappropriate behaviour. It outlines expectations for professional boundaries at all times. As I said, I do not tolerate any risk of harm to anyone at our service. Any breach of this code is met with immediate suspension and dismissal.
Our rooms are designed to be open-plan. There are no hidden corners. This allows for natural supervision between educators and teams, and means that at any given time, multiple sets of eyes are on the children and each other.
All our team are trained in their mandatory reporting obligations. Furthermore, we provide regular, ongoing professional development on child protection, identifying signs of distress, and maintaining professional boundaries. This isn't a one-off session; it's a continuous conversation.
We actively encourage families to be a part of our service. You are always welcome to drop in unannounced, to spend time in the room, and to see our practices firsthand. We believe transparency with our families is one of our strongest safeguard
We teach children about body autonomy and empower them to use their voices in an age-appropriate way. Our educators are trained to listen and to be responsive to all forms of communication, especially non-verbal cues.

Eligible if the child is at least 34 months old by October, 2025.
